Originally from of New Jersey, Selena relocated to North Carolina several years ago to pursue a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications from Shaw University. She has lent her vocals as an announcer to several radio stations in North Carolina with Jazz, Country, R&B, Gospel and Urban formats. Before joining the on-air staff at Power 95.5 she worked as a news reporter and television personality at TV stations in Maryland and North Carolina. Recognized as the top Mid-Day On-Air Personality in eastern North Carolina, Selena enjoys encouraging people and sharing a personal touch with listeners all across the area. Selena is also organizes quarterly First Friday Mixers for Adults and is the host of a monthly talent showcase in Raleigh called "Women Who Jam".
